Activate an eSIM on iPhone and Android

Use Wi-Fi, turn off VPN, scan the QR code, then set the eSIM as your data line. Vodafone NL plans also ask for a 6-digit ePIN, then unlock PIN 0000.

iPhone

  1. Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.
  2. Scan QR.
  3. Set eSIM for Mobile Data and enable Data Roaming on that line.

Android

  1. Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM.
  2. Scan QR.
  3. Set eSIM as mobile data; enable roaming on this SIM.

Troubleshooting

  • QR will not scan: raise brightness or enter SM-DP+ manually.
  • Stuck on activating: disable VPN, change Wi-Fi, reboot.
  • No data: eSIM selected for data, roaming ON, country covered by the plan.
